Low Bitrate
In Streamster, the bitrate limit depends on the selected pricing plan. For free accounts, the maximum bitrate is 4000 kbps. Thus, if you need a higher bitrate for your stream, upgrade your plan. Check Streamster pricing
If your current bitrate is lower than you set, and your network indicator is yellow or red, please try the following steps:
One common cause of low bitrate or reduced stream quality can be a lack of movement or dynamic content in front of the camera. When the scene is static (e.g., nothing is moving, or the video is too dark for movement to be detected), the bitrate may drop. This can make it difficult to assess whether the low bitrate is due to network issues or just the content being streamed. To properly test if your network is handling the stream correctly and to stabilize the bitrate, try adding more movement to the stream.
Sometimes bitrate issues may be caused by the local network configuration. Thus, if you bitrate is unstable, we recommend switching your network from wi-fi to mobile and vice versa (if possible) to check if those issues are caused by the local network.
If bitrate issues still persist, you can also manually switch the Streamster server to which you are connected. To do this, tap the settings icon and select the “Change server” option.
